2019 Shelby GT Ford Mustang Debuts With Gold Stripes And 480HP
Shelby re-launches Shelby GT Mustang for the next model year with some extra performance and a host of styling twists. The modern GT version underpins the current Mustang GT but proudly delivers 480 horsepower from the 5.0-litre V8 power unit, offers a six-speed manual or a Ford’s ten-speed automatic transmission and could be purchased either as convertible or a coupe. Those customers who choose the unique Heritage package will get a choice of noble black or white paint along with retro-styled signature gold stripes of the 2005-2006 rental Hertz car. Gold wheels are optional, too.
The GT receives a host of tweaks to add a basic version – the array includes an upgraded suspension, a Borla cat-back exhaust, anti-roll bars, custom bodywork and Ford Performance springs. In terms of exterior, the GT gets a visually refreshed bumper, side skirts, spoiler and rear bumper; styling bits make the gorgeous GT look visually even more aggressive. On top of that, Shelby will release a special Ford Performance supercharger kit that will pump the final output to more than 700 horses. The price tag has yet to be revealed, but according to Shelby, it will start at $61,345.
